Introducing my first ever Wellness Camping Weekend!

Why Am I Putting This Event On?

Some of the best experiences come from meeting new people, and immersing yourself in nature.

This weekend is about exactly that, bringing together like-minded people who value connection, adventure, and personal growth in a relaxed, judgement-free space.

I think most of us have been to events that left us feeling recharged, inspired, and full-hearted. This is our chance to create the start of something special - a weekend where you can be yourself, connect with others, and enjoy simple but meaningful moments together.

Over the past few years, I’ve attended different types of trips, active retreats, wellness weekends, festivals, and workshops… And every single time, I’ve left feeling a sense of personal growth.

Whether it’s stepping outside my comfort zone socially or pushing myself through a new activity, these experiences have always left me with a ‘full heart’ feeling.

I love the way these trips bring together people from different backgrounds who share a common interest, creating an environment where you can just be yourself, without judgement or social expectations.

Now, I want to create that space myself and push myself out of my comfort zone in the process… I want to bring people together, and provide the opportunity for connection, growth, and those ‘full heart’ feelings!

What To Expect:

This isn’t a highly structured retreat or a packed itinerary. It’s a laid-back weekend where you can take part in as much or as little as you like.

We have a few key activities planned, but there’s plenty of room for random activities, quiet reflection, and simply enjoying the outdoors.

The Vibe:
Think of this as a weekend away with friends - whether you already know each other or are meeting for the first time. There’s no pressure to ‘perform’ or ‘achieve’ anything. Just come as you are, enjoy the company, and see where the weekend takes you.

I’m keen for everyone to leave this feeling mega refreshed, and also for people to push themselves socially without relying on booze, which is certainly a growth point I’m working on personally. I’m not going to say it’s a booze free event because we’re all adults, but I’d love it not to be the main focus and want everyone feeling super present and able to enjoy ‘being in the moment’.

What You’ll Get Out of It

  • Time to reconnect with yourself and others.

  • Space to reflect, set intentions, or just be in the moment.

  • New experiences, conversations, and memories.

We’re keeping this first weekend small and chilled, but if it goes well, who knows where it could lead in future years?

Facilities

Here’s a rough outline of what the weekend will look like:

Friday PM

  • Arrival: from 2pm - Set up your tent and stuff, and we’ll chill at the site with the frisbee and a few other games, and go collect some firewood, while getting to know each other and as people gradually arrive throughout the afternoon and evening.

  • Food: Campsite dinner - self cook whatever / however you fancy - This will be the score with all food throughout the weekend (except Saturday lunch at the pub after the walk if you’re joining that), and you can feel free to sort food and eat with whoever you want or all together as a large group.

  • Activity:

    1) 7pm - Fire-making & marshmallow roasting, campfire games & social.

Saturday AM

  • Food: Breakfast & a brew

  • Activities:

    1) 5am - Sunrise up a hill 10 mins walk from the site

    2) 7am - Breathwork / Yoga at the campsite

    3) 9:15am - Leave the campsite for a Mid-morning Hike & lunch (30 min drive away)

  • Hike details: Westbury-sub-Mendip, Ebbor Woods, and Wookey Hole Circular (12.1km, 348m elevation gain, approx 3h 20m)

  • Lunch venue: The Westbury Inn - Table booked for 1:30pm (MENU)

Saturday Late Afternoon

  • Activities (To ‘book onto’ in small groups):

    1) 5pm & 6pm - Boxing skills and padwork with Danny (A taster session to learn the fundamentals of boxing. Learning combinations, defence, and practising 1:1 on the pads).

    2) 5pm & 6pm & 7pm - Vision & Goal setting with Sean (Why S.M.A.R.T goals are shite - Going beyond surface level, creating fear & excitement).

    3) 5pm & 6pm - ‘Summer Celebration’ crafting with Els - Foraging on our walk, then crafting a keepsake for you to take away as a memory from the weekend.

Saturday Evening

  • Food: Casual camp meals

  • Activities: Sunset up the local hill & Campfire social

    1) 7pm - Fire building

2) 8:30pm - ‘Dampers with Kayla’

Sunday AM

  • Food: Breakfast

  • Activities: Short local sunrise hike, packing up, saying goodbye to the site, and finding a spot nearby for a dip on the way home!

Throughout the weekend, there will also be optional activities like frisbee, foraging, 'worm 101’, or simply relaxing and soaking up the atmosphere.
